Stormwater Pond

Stormwater ponds manage urban runoff, yet they can also provide freshwater habitat and opportunities for invasive species to establish. Our research examines how pond conditions, fish invasions—including Prussian Carp—and surrounding land use shape aquatic biodiversity and ecological communities. The goal is to inform practical pond management that supports municipal stormwater needs while reducing impacts on freshwater ecosystems.
